- If we qualify, the shape is Project Support. Caps: $150k for one year, $325k for two, $500k for three. Money starts Apr 1, 2027.

Applicant is a current Kansas City grantee. The club supplies the room and the programming.
- Ask UMKC Innovation Center first. They hold the Kansas City regional node and the 2026 MOBEC project Forging the Future.
- Second call is KC Digital Drive, for Solutions Lab Ventures. BioNexus already owns Digital Health KC. Do not write a competing digital-health grant.
- Club piece: a Missouri-side founder desk at Keystone. Office hours, a lightning-pitch filter, and a short list pointed at the IDEA Fund and at angels who will want the 2027 credit.
- Counted outcomes only: founders coached, Missouri companies, capital introductions, private dollars that followed.
Done looks like: one page Chris can say yes or no to. Applicant named, project named, Missouri venue named, outcomes that can be audited.

- TechLaunch up to $250k on rounds of $400k–$1M. Seed up to $1M on rounds of $1–5M. Venture Capital up to $4M on rounds of $5–20M.
- MTC takes 10–25% of the round and requires a private match. The company has six months to close.
- Filter before the invite: a Missouri technology company in a live round. A Kansas LLC does not qualify.
Done looks like: one session held, a list of who is actually Missouri and raising, and the application link in their hands.

AI angel literacy pilot
Missouri Angel Investment Incentive · HB 3231 and 2531, signed Jul 13, 2026 · MTC designates the companies
- Credit is 40% of a cash investment, 50% if the company is rural, 60% if it sits in a Missouri Innovation Zone. Caps: $75k per investor per company per year, $300k per investor per year. Statewide pool is $6M in each of 2027 and 2028.
- A qualified company applies to MTC each year, has had no more than $5M in revenue, and is under five years old, or under ten if it is bioscience.
- The 2026 Investor Education grant is closed. BioNexus already trains life-science angels in Kansas City. The open lane is general technology and AI angels.
- Run a 90-minute pilot on the Missouri side. Track attendance and first checks so the next grant round has a record, not a concept.
Done looks like: a one-page pilot Chris can hand a nonprofit partner. Date, Missouri venue, what gets counted. Not a solo grant application.

Watch, do not bid
These are real MTC programs. None of them are open for a club bid right now.
- Physical infrastructure. 2026 awards went out Aug 4 and the grant period started Sep 1. Next cycle is the time to talk with The Porter House KC or KC Digital Drive about programming their space.
- Regional Node. Suspended this fiscal year. UMKC already holds Kansas City. Join their action teams.
- Advocacy grant. Last period ended Jun 30, 2026. If it reopens, it pays for education of stakeholders, not lobbying.
- Investor Education. 2026 round is closed. Watch for a 2027 round and bring the angel pilot with a partner.
Done looks like: nobody spends a week drafting a bid for a program that is shut. Revisit when MTC posts the next round.
